The Womens team has been in an intense battle to take first place and earn promotion to Division 2 in the MWSL.

Undefeated at the beginning of the year, undefeated through December and hopefully undefeated at the end of the season and champions in Western Canada.
A very strong team, from goal to the front line, and also in the coaching. The windsprints and hard work in training paid off big time for the masters.

After a dozen successful years in Premier Division, the Open team is dominating Division 1 in 2008/09, which will earn it a promotion back to Premier. The single year in Division 1 was a rebuilding year, with lots of young talented players joining the Club, giving the team tremendous depth. Day in a day out, the starting 11 and subs played well, regardless of who was in teh line-up. The high talent level made for great competition and tremendous training sessions.

For years, Sarah Weatherby (a teacher at NWSS) played for and helped run the Selects team. Due to the birth of her child in 2008, Sarah had to step down. Kim Duffy, another players from New West has stepped in to help lead the Selects.
